Power Stroke pointers for off-road and lifted trucks

A quick map. This site is about the chassis; engine depth lives elsewhere.

Years and notes are from Wikipedia's Power Stroke article and Diesel Hub's timeline; the in-house 6.7L point is also from Ford Authority.

Off-road and lift notes

  • Bigger tires change the effective gearing, which matters for towing.
  • Water fording: protect the intake and know your axle and transfer-case vent locations. Tremor trucks have factory vent tubes.
  • Skid protection for low components.

For engine systems, symptoms and maintenance, see the Power Stroke hub at thedieselforum.com.
